The first scenario shows how solar PV production is divided between direct consumption, export to the grid and demand that still has to be met by the grid.

The battery is then simulated using the solar PV surplus actually available and the building’s demand at each time step.

The new balance highlights the energy sent to the battery, the energy returned to the building and the resulting changes in exchanges with the grid.

SynergyFlex accounts for changes in the electricity price over time to compare different tariff models and assess their effect on costs and on the operation of flexible systems.
